Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only child from Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, a tool-and-die manufacturer and former employee of a plant. Sharon was born on 10 March 1958, at Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her 3 siblings. Stone started second grade in kindergarten at age five. Stone graduated from Saegertown High School in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. Stone also participated for Saegertown's Miss Pennsylvania beauty pageant, which she won Miss Crawford County. Stone and her Aunt in 1977, made the move into New Jersey for a modeling job. She signed with Ford Modeling Agency a week later. Her next move was to Europe in the course of a year living with her aunt in Milan, Paris and other cities. Stone but was dissatisfied with Europe with the modelling industry and opted to go into acting. At the age of 20, she appeared in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories" a film that received mixed praises.
