Jana Kramer bio
Jana Kramer gained fame as an actress, country-pop musician and songwriter when she appeared in the TV show One Tree Hill. She played Alex for three of its final four seasons. Her first few releases as a country artist included in episodes of the show that helped her debut album of the same name to make it into the Top 20 in the Billboard 200. Thirty One (2015), the follow-up album in 2015, also reached into the Top Ten. In the final decade of her career with a performance on Dancing with the Stars. It was released in 2021 as the self-doubting Voices. Jana Rae Kramer, born in Rochester Hills Michigan and raised in the area, discovered her love for country music. Later she would pursue an acting career. Her debut professional appearance was as an actress in the horror film indie Dead/Undead in 2002 when still a teenager. Guest spots on shows such as All My Children and CSI: NY followed over the following years, until she landed the recurring part of Noelle Davenport on NBC's Friday Night Lights in the series' second season, 2007-2008. Kramer would go on to appear as Portia Ranson in 90210 (2008-2009) and Brooke Manning, in Entourage (2009) and then was tapped for One Tree Hill by the CW as Alex Dupre. Kramer remained with the One Tree Hill team until half way through its final season (2012). Jana Kramer Kramer was a character on One Tree Hill from 2009 through in 2012. Kramer had signed an agreement in 2009 with Elektra Records, and she introduced her new contemporary country track I Won't Give Up during the One Tree Hill 2011 episode. It later appeared on her debut album Jana Kramer in mid-2012. It landed in the Top Five of the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. Her focus was on her musical career thereafter without retiring from acting Kramer appeared in movies such as Heart of the Country 2013 and Country Crush 2016 that would draw the attention of her fans. The album was released in October 2015. Kramer came out with Thirty One from Warner Music Nashville. I Got the Boy - the album was a Top Five Country hit - as well as Steven Tyler, Aerosmith's lead vocalist, singing a duet on her album make it to the top ten spot on the Billboard 200. After a two-month stint during 23rd Dancing with the Stars season her final score was fourth. The same year she was also a part of an adult-oriented hit song featuring the song "Feels Like" Christmas with Straight No Chaser.
